Matthew Spotten

Embedded Systems & Hardware Engineer

Junior Electrical & Computer Engineering student at BYU–Idaho focused on firmware, PCB design, and end-to-end system development.

What I’m Looking For

I’m seeking opportunities in embedded systems, firmware development, or hardware-focused engineering roles where I can contribute to real-world products and continue developing my system-level design skills.

The Builder’s Mindset

What started as a childhood fascination with electrical circuits has evolved into a career pursuit at BYU-Idaho. I specialize in Embedded Systems, where I combine my love for firmware development with hands-on hardware design.

Previous Builds

I’ve either completed or worked on a Custom STM32 Smart Watch, a Digital Oscilloscope, a Custom Single Board Computer, and a Lighting Console Board. These projects represent my ability to take a concept from a schematic to a fully programmed, 3D-printed physical product.
